3. Google Drive Integration & Data Access

3.1 Scopes Requested

When you use the Docnia Agent feature, we request the following Google API scopes:

  • drive.file — Access to files created or opened by the app
  • drive — Read and manage your Google Drive files to enable AI-powered file management, searching, and organization

3.2 How We Use Google Drive Data

Your Google Drive data is used exclusively to provide the Docnia Agent features you request:

  • Listing and searching files and folders in your Drive
  • Creating new documents, spreadsheets, and presentations
  • Organizing files into folders
  • Reading file metadata to provide AI-powered suggestions

3.3 Data Processing

Your Google Drive data is processed in-session only. We do not permanently store, cache, or retain copies of your Google Drive files on our servers. File operations are performed in real-time through the Google Drive API, and data is not persisted beyond your active session.

3.4 Revoking Access

You can revoke Docnia's access to your Google Drive at any time:

  • Visit Google Account > Security > Third-party apps with account access
  • Find Docnia in the list and click "Remove Access"
  • Once revoked, the Docnia Agent will no longer be able to access your files

3.5 Google API Services User Data Policy

Docnia's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

4. Data Storage & Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes:

  • Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest
  • Secure authentication through Firebase Authentication and Google OAuth 2.0
